CALIFORNIA - A recent study conducted by Yahoo shows that online video viewing habits have shifted. Now users prefer to watch the hour-long video and watch it on time of 'prime time'. As quoted from TechCrunch, Thursday (06/30/2011), users now prefer to watch videos online between the hours of 6 to 9 pm. Whereas two years ago, users still prefer to turn off the computer, and turn on the television.

Currently users prefer to stream television shows and movies through services like Netflix and Hulu, for any time tontonnya with prime time television show.

As many as 18 percent of online videos that are watched television shows in full, from 11 percent two years ago. Last online content such as movies, figure the percentage ranges from 8 percent, up from 5 percent in 2009. Meanwhile, the percentage of watching short video duration decreased to 74 percent from the previous one was 84 percent.

Some other interesting information from Yahoo is:

- The percentage of people who share the video has now become less and less, 26 percent from 34 percent in 2009.
- Video online advertising more watchable (45 percent), than the video that gets a lot of 'Like' (36 percent).
- 57 percent of users prefer to watch videos online that are put together with an article (eg as in the blog), rather than just the video alone.
