CALIFORNIA - Novelist John Locke has become the first independent writer who is managed to sell over 1 million through its Kindle ebook Direct Publishing, according to an announcement from the Amazon.
Writers who get success through pricing methods USD 0, 99 on each ebook that he sold it, has published nine novels through the Kindle Store, which already includes ebook 'Saving Rachel' best-selling non-fiction and works of his first 'How I Sold a Million eBooks in 5 Months'.
As quoted by Mashable, Tuesday (21/06/2011), Locke took in royalties of approximately 35 cents of every ebook that he sold through Amazon. Previous Locke had never had an agent or publisher.
With the results he achieved, Locke is now joined with seven other authors, including Nora Roberts and Stieg Larsson in 'Kindle Million Club', which is the nickname for the writer whose work sold millions of copies in stores Kindel.
Inversely with news about Locke, the Kindle bookstore itself is now being flooded with spam ebook because there is no regulation governing the issuance of the policy in the online bookstore.
Most spam is worse ebook copies of the originals. Not only that, format text and the graphics were bad, some parts missing and not worth the value for money to buy it.
Some sources say that this is due to the absence of regulations made for the Amazon Kindle book store and let the writers to easily publish their own ebook.
Analysts suggested that Amazon charges for writers to publish their ebook store, but it was contrary to the original purpose of the store made, namely a place to sell independently and free ebook.
