WASHINGTON - Quietly in the world of cyber cold war between the United States and China began to lift. If the previously-party Beijing has always denied, when it starts to look clear.
China and U.S. do and face 'Cyber Cold War' each other
In a recent report from the newspaper in China, which successfully summarized by Reuters states that the military was pressing Beijing to China continue to conduct cyber attacks to ward off the Pentagon attack which may be can happen.
Previously, the U.S. side has done accusations against China, such as allegations of violations of network security from Lockheed Martin Corp. and other U.S. military partners. Washington Party also alleges that there is fraud aimed at gaining access to Google's email accounts and U.S. officials of Chinese human rights activists.
On the other hand, a newspaper run by the Chinese army official said that it was done because of Beijing's vulnerable to attack.
"The U.S. military is accelerating to seize the position of military commander on the Internet, and Internet war is being pushed to the top of the storm," said the newspaper.
This report is not an official statement the government, but the military newspaper edited in a way which reflects official thinking. So this shows that China is also concerned with the problem of Internet attacks, and they just do the defense.
"Although our country has developed into a great power of the Internet, Internet security with our defense is still very weak. So we must accelerate the development of internet technology fighting and weaponry," the report said.
"Comprehensive enhance our military capabilities to defend the boundaries of the Internet," they urged.
As you may already know, U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said earlier this month that Washington was very concerned about cyber attacks, and that they are ready to use the power of hackers in the act of war. The Pentagon also come out and say that they are ready to see the cyber-attack as an act of war.
