1 Million observations are successfully done by Hubble telescope

WASHINGTON, U.S. - On July 4, yesterday Hubble telescope studied the possibility of water on an exoplanet's atmosphere, making it an observation to one million by the space telescope."Over the past 21 years Hubble has become a major center of science observations, giving us a lot of new pictures and beautiful in the fields of astronomy," said Charles Bolden, the Administrator of NASA.

1 Million observations are successfully done by Hubble telescope

As quoted from the New Kerala, on Wednesday (06/07/2011), to one million observations made by Hubble is the planet HAT-P-7b, a giant gas planet bigger than Jupiter, and orbits the star is hotter than our sun.

HAT-P-7b known as the Kepler 2b, has been studied by Kepler telescope, while the Hubble is used to analyze the chemical composition of the planet's atmosphere.

"We're looking for the possibility of the presence of water. This observation was quite difficult, because to get the results may take months," said Drake Deming of the University of Maryland and Godard Space Flight Center.

Deming also added that the ability of Hubble is very suitable in examining the exoplanet atmosphere. "We are also happy if the research had revealed," he said.
