CALIFORNIA - WordPress.org urged its users to reset their passwords, after some plug-ins popular in the blog provider site hit by hacker attacks.
"WordPress team announced that several hack attacks occur in some plug-ins, which included a backdoor malware," wrote Matt Mullenweg, founder of Automattic in his blog post. Similarly, as quoted by Mashable, Wednesday (06/22/2011).
"When we found the attack, we immediately shut down access to the plugin is concerned," he added.
In addition, Mullenweg said AddThis, WPtouch and W3 Total Cache is the number of plug-ins to develop the conditions.
As a preventative measure, WordPress.org urge all users to reset their passwords. The attack is said to have no impact on the blogs on WordPress, but the effect on the forum, trac, and the code in WordPress to the plug-in or theme.
This is not the first time attacked by the hackers WordPress, WordPress.com previous (separate from WordPress.org) also have been victims of hacking in April.
