This week is good moment because PlayStation Network will be Fully Active

TOKYO - Sony Corporation and Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE), Friday (6/3/2011), announced that Sony Entertainment Network International (SNEI) will fully restore all the services the PlayStation Network in the Americas, Europe / PAL regions, and Asia, excluding Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea, this weekend. The company also will continue its unlimited music service from Qriocity Music Unlimited for the PlayStation 3 (PS3), PlayStation Portable (PSP), VAIO and other personal computers.




"We have conducted additional testing and verification of advanced security at our commercial functions to bring the PlayStation Network back online so that customers can enjoy first class entertainment experience to their liking," said Kazuo Hirai, Sony Corporation Executive Deputy President in his press release. "We appreciate the patience and support given at this time."

Sony said it had increased its security in network infrastructure, including for the payment process and commercial functions. The first stage of recovery and Qriocity PlayStation Network beginning on May 15, 2011 in America and Europe / PAL Regions, followed by Japan, countries and the Asian region on 28 May, in which the company recover some services for connected back online.

With this gradual recovery, customers can access to some services such as online games, membership management, lists of friends and chat functions that have been repaired. Full recovery PlayStation Network and some service on Qriocity will include the full functionality of the PlayStation Store, buy-sell transactions in the game, the ability to redeem vouchers and codes, full functionality of Music Unlimited Qriocity for PS3, PSP, VAIO and other personal computers, and full function on Media Go.

Now customers can buy and download games and video content from the PlayStation Store on the PS3 or PSP. In addition, subscribers will gain full access to the Music Unlimited from Qriocity through PS3, PSP, VAIO, and other personal computers. Video on Demand service recovery from Qriocity and Music Unlimited Qriocity for a variety of Sony devices that have network capabilities will be announced later.

The company will offer a package of "Welcome Back" which consists of service and premium content for all our customers and the PlayStation Network Qriocity listed. Details of this program will be tailored for each region.
