Samsung tries to find out other alternatives of Operating System for their products

SEOUL - Samsung not only interested in launching a smartphone based operating system ( OS ) Tizen , but also Firefox OS . South Korean company was even reportedly planning to launch a smartphone based on both OS 's simultaneously.

Reported by Softpedia , Sunday ( 01/12/2013 ) , the news of Samsung 's plan stems from the statement of the Chief Secretary of Samsung Electronics , Lee Wonsuk . In a conference on HTML5 forum Fusion Technique in Seoul this week , he said that both platforms have to establish a relationship .

Tizen OS , which was developed by Samsung and in collaboration with Intel , is an open source OS that will ' strengthen ' the future of high-end South Korean vendors . But until now , there has been no Tizen OS based smartphone launched .

On the other hand , Firefox OS designed by Mozilla comes as an option for low-end smartphones . In contrast to Tizen , Firefox OS smartphones already available and marketed in Latin America and some countries in the European region .

Both of these platforms using HTML5 -based applications , enabling developers to develop applications for both.
