giant computer chip manufacturer, Intel announced a number of microprocessor models to be discontinued. These chips include Itanium models as well as some Atom chips.
Reported by cpu-world, on Thursday (07/11/2013), Intel yesterday announced the retirement of a number of customers regarding the Atom and Itanium microprocessors. Later model is no longer manufactured chip Atom D2500, D2550, D2560, N2600 and N2800.
Dual-core processor is introduced with the production period from September 2011 to November 2012. All chips are based on the older generation core "Cedar View".
Itanium models were also discontinued the series are 9310, 9320, 9330, 9340 and 9350. The fifth chip is a complete product line in the Itanium 9300 series.
Atom and Itanium microprocessors can be booked until May 23, 2014. Intel announced Atom chip parts will be shipped to customers until 7 November 2014, while shipments chip Itanium servers until 4 November 2016.
