WhatsApp will be owned by Facebook soon
In October 2011, WhatsApp announced a record number of messages sent users reaching 1 billion messages per day. "There are 41,666,667 messages sent per hour, 694,444 messages sent per minute, and 11,574 messages sent per second", wrote WhatsApp via blog posts.
Social networking site Facebook is reportedly serious talks with manufacturers WhatsApp application. One source close to the company told Techcrunch says that Facebook is interested in buying WhatsApp.
Facebook seems to want to expand its customers in the mobile realm. One way might be to acquire WhastApp. However, no detailed information about the acquisition and the form of agreement between Facebook and WhasApp. Both of them did not want to speak about this rumor.
