No ads in eBay?
San Jose: No mobile ads in eBay and it will be.
For advertisers, it's a reminder that there are still a lot of work left to do to be able to run more smoothly ads in various mobile devices.
Many audiences eBay mobile marketing should be interesting in the long term, but given that this is done only for the current experiment, and the decision to suspend advertising in the app will not be counted as a great loss.
After finding a less attractive appearance eBay and impressed apart in the iPhone app, EBay said that next year the company will stop running the mobile ads within apps.
"This year, the ads displayed eBay in the iPhone app as an experiment, but we find the view that there seem annoying and messy. We were not happy with the user experience.'s Not worth it and we do not need the money," said Devin Wenig, eBay's president of global marketplaces , as reported by AllThingsD, Thursday (12/20/2012).
Although eBay is less enthusiastic in mobile advertising, but in fact eBay is a great promoter of mobile commerce in general, because it serves consumers wherever consumers want to shop.
Companies based in San Jose announced in September that the mobile application has been downloaded 100 million times since its launch four years ago. That's not an insignificant number, given that it is equal to the number of active users on eBay last year.
In addition, this year, eBay expects to transact more than U.S. $ 10 billion in mobile volume of application. In fact, the company just hit the biggest shopping day ever mobile on December 2.
