X86-based processors will compete with Intel Atom Z2760 equally eyeing Window 8 tablet segment, in addition to ARM-based processors from manufacturers such as Qualcomm and Samsung.
Level Z-60 power consumption of 4.5 watts higher than Intel processors pegged at 1.7 watts, but the ability of the graphics processor is claimed to be much higher.
AMD says that the tablet party processor-based Z-60 can last for 8 hours when used for browsing, or 6 hours when used for HD video playback.
Other features include HDMI output and a USB 3.0 interface and support for SATA 6 Gbps and Direct X 11.
