large-scale trials in Firefox 16 beta

CALIFORNIA - Mozilla announced a major step he had just done in his Social API. The move brings together social sites into the browser Firefox.

Quoted from Softpedia, Friday (10/12/2012), Mozilla has been working on it for several months and will conduct large-scale trials in Firefox 16 beta.

In this trial, Mozilla working on his Facebook to Messenger together, for example in terms of contacts, notifications and others into Firefox.

"Social API is the result of much research and experimentation with unification visual functionality into Firefox," Mozilla wrote in his blog.

"Similar to the standard OpenSearch, Social services API allows developers to integrate social media into the browser, in a way that can be more meaningful and helpful to others.

Mozilla has also landed a couple of components of Social API when Firefox 16 is still in the Nightly channel.
