Total Immersion's AR Chip will be developed by Intel

Chip manufacturer, Intel, taking core technologies such as software security applications and 'baked' in processors and chipsets to provide a more powerful computer platform.

INTEL and Total Immersion partnered to integrate technology of AR (augmented reality) on the chip.

Total Immersion Marketing Chief Antoine Brachet revealed that cooperation in the past week at the Reuters Global Media Summit that was held in New York.

According to him, the motion recognition sensor will be part of the Intel chipset in two to three years. ''What we have done together with Intel is making chips with AR features such as gesture recognition that can be transferred from software to hardware,''said Brachet.

Installation of AR technology on a chip will support three-dimensional image display virtually. In March 2011, Intel led the financing of U.S. $ 5.5 million for the Total Immersion.
