Asustek produces Android 4.0-based Transformer tablet

 
Analysts estimate, Asustek will be very difficult to compete in the market. Moreover, the market is currently dominated by two tablets being the world's major electronics companies, namely Apple with iPad, and Samsung with Galaxy Tab.

The launch of Android OS 4.0 turned out to attract the attention of Asustek Computer Inc. to make a tablet. Asustek Chairman, Joneey Shih said that his company plans to make Android 4.0-based tablet  at the end of this year.

Previously, Asustek also has other tablet products, namely Transformer. At a technology conference, Shih said that the tablet will use Nvidia's quad-core chips.

With the new tablet, it hopes to maintain sales of the tablet transformers. He said the tablet that uses the Android OS Honeycomb, this year recorded sales of up to two million units.
