Nearly half of the security software market is controlled by just five major corporations, according to a recent survey conducted by research firm Gartner. Nevertheless, there is still a possibility of decline in the position of those companies.
"The achievement still leaves the rest of the rations on the market. But if you look at the achievement of such companies in the market in 2006 is still 60 percent, then obviously this year they declined," said Ruggero Contu, Gartner analyst.

"Market expansion and innovation run separately, as new companies began to enter the market. The 'players' to bring this new innovative technologies for users," said Contu.
Gartner says that there is still room for the security software market to fluctuate, which means the company's new-perusaahn can still continue to increase the number of users, yangselalu want to choose something better and new.
"The complexity of the security problems faced by users may also not be in a short time by the new companies, because of technological limitations and the resources they still face.
Even so, Contu said that competition from new companies are still going to be hard.
