NEW YORK - The report mentions several research companies that netbook sales decline. Many have pointed to the popularity is due to the higher tablet.
But this was denied by NPD. According to research firm is claiming that the iPad has nothing to do with the decline in the PC market, and the title of netbook cannibalization tablet is a mistake.
Launched by PCR, Thursday (05/12/2011), NPD said tablet iPad 'only' control 14 percent of the overall PC market and that figure dropped to 'only' 12 per cent during the last holiday period.
The company later claimed that netbook sales decline during the last few quarters, more due to a "computer sales boom" after the release of Windows 7.
"There is no valid data states that killing tablet netbook. Because of the presence of the portable computer itself that makes netbooks down," said NPD analyst Stephen Baker.
